New version spam filtering vs. FOPE web console

Hello!

I am a MS partner and have not had my domain (E3 plan) moved to the new Office 365 yet...that's coming in June. I use the FOPE web console to set up whitelists and blacklists of email addresses or domains.

One thing I hate is that MS flat out deletes any message with an SCL of 7 or higher. I would rather have that mail go to a quarantine so that IF a legitimate email gets flagged, I know that it happened.

Right now, I have no idea if there are false-positive emails getting dumped. I want to sell Office 365 to law offices, but if they get legit email dropped, they'll cut off my head...or worse.

I know for a fact that it does not quarantine spam over SCL 7 as I desire, in spite of setting up a policy that was supposed to do so. When I had my own SBS 2011 server and a WatchGuard firewall with Commtouch spam filtering and a quarantine, I would get a 100 or so spam messages a week. Now I see perhaps five a week in the quarantine. I do NOT trust MS, or anyone else, to have ZERO false-positives, so I want ALL filtered mail to go to a quarantine.

Does the new console provide for TRUE whitelisting? I.e., I don't care if it's SCL 9000, it's on a stinking whitelist, so let it through!

Thank you!

Gregg Hill
