Hi Aaron,
I tried to setup a test distribution group before deploying everything to a user, and so far, things don't work well for me.
Here's what I'm getting.
First of all, I've added a new distribution group ("testing"), with myself ("mkornienko") being a member.
Then added permissions to SendAs from PowerShell. And here's how output looks like:
PS C:\Windows\system32> Get-RecipientPermission "testing"
Identity Trustee AccessControlType AccessRights Inherite
-------- ------- ----------------- ------------ --------
testing mkornienko Allow {SendAs} False
Also, actually, there doesn't seem to be a need for PowerShell after all, as it seems to be possible to add SendAs permission from the new Exchange admin center > Groups UI
(Groups > Edit > Open Group Properties > Group Delegation > Send As).
I have also confirmed myself being in the list there as well (screenshot here: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/296505/Distribution%20Group.png )
With that set up, when I try to send an email as testing@<ourdomain> user (using my mkornienko account, and switching the "From:" field of outgoing email in Outlook 2010 (New mail > From : Other E-mail address : testing@<ourdomain> ), I'm getting the following bounce:

Not sure what I'm doing wrong. Could you advise?
Thanks!
Mikhail.
