I would like to confirm if you want to send calendar invites in OWA and shows that it is from an external contact.
If so, based on my test, there are no options to select "From" when sending an calendar invite.
It seems that the feature is only available for sending messages at present.
Please feel free to let me know if I have any misunderstanding.
