I have just migrated a client over to Office 365 (Exchange Online) from a POP/SMTP email system and am in the process of using the PST Capture utility to import PST files. I have started with the smallest PST files first and ran across this issue with one user. Due to the limited number of folders I just renamed those affected, recreated new versions, and moved the messages to these new folders. Now that I am getting to the larger PST files and have experienced the issue again, that manual process is going to be cost prohibitive for the client. I am interested in implementing your script to proactively resolve this issue after each PST import.

You stated that the code you shared is "an extract". As such, I (and likely others) have a few questions:

1) Is there more to the script that you did not include?

2) Are the ellipsis in lines two and three meant to be place holders for the users specific server?

3) Can you summarize what the script does (i.e. prompts for credentials, connects to Exchange Online, reads folders 1000 at a time, searches for those with a null FolderClass, adds the IPF.Note class to each found, displays results, etc)?

4) Is there any other information that would be necessary to implement this script?

This information would be extremely helpful to myself and other members of the community that are involved in these migrations and don't have much experience with PowerShell scripting.

Thanks in advance!
