Hi about a month ago I setup Office 365 for one of my domains. I also linked about 5 other POP email accounts from 3 different domains all hosted on the same shared WHM server using Connected Accounts. This went without a hitch until the server was retired last night and replaced with a new machine with the latest version of WHM and CPANEL.
Due to a bug in the new version of WHM all email from most of the migrated accounts stopped working. Long story short the server finally fixed it but during that period I deleted the current links POP accounts and was trying to reconnect them with no success. Now that the email is working again I can connect to an account from outlook but cannot connect using POP from Office 365 to any of the domains that I connected to before
Since the server was replaced all the IP's have changed and have delegated so I am wondering when I may now not be able to connect. One of the domains has a fixed IP address and I did try a connection using the IP address instead of the usual mail.mydomain.com.au and that actually connected but I am wondering why it will not connect using mail.mydomain.com.au.
Is it possible that even those account have now been deleted that Outlook 365 is somehow storing the old IP's that it resolved from these connected accounts last time? Or could there be something that I don't know about preventing it from resolving to the new correct IP's of the new server.
One of the domains in question is mail.oz3d.com.au which resolves to 118.127.40.72 it connect fine before but not now. Tried connection by Basic and SSL and both don't work. Need to use POP as I don't want to to not leave a copy on the server.
Any help would be appreciated.
Regards
Paul
