Hello All,

I am George Wu from Microsoft. My colleague had handed over this issue to me. I fully understand the inconvenience you are facing, and am sorry for the delayed solution.

Here is my understanding on this issue, please correct me if I misunderstood. After being upgraded to Wave 15 tenant, Outlook/OWA users found some of their incoming mail messages are changed into draft. When opening this email, users can edit/save/send it, and the sender’s information is displayed as the original sender. If user tries to send it out, this message goes into the sent items folder.

Could you please help to give me these information so I can narrow down to the root cause?

  1. Logon Office 365 portal as administrator, then click to manage Exchange. In Exchange Admin Center, click “mail flow”=>”message trace”. Then select the “Recipient” to the user whose mailbox has such problem, select a time range which includes the time of the email with issue. Click search.

    Can the mail be found?

If this mail is found by message track, double click it to check the detail. < please send me the screen shot via private message>

  2. Open the mail message in Outlook. < please send me the screen shot via private message>

  3. Open the message in Outlook, click the arrow in the right bottom of Tags section, the Properties dialog box will popup. < please send me the screen shot via private message>

  4. If the mail is sent manual by the mailbox owner, can it be delivered?

  5. If the mail is sent and received again, open property information of the new mail as step 3. < please send me the screen shot via private message>

  6. This mail will be placed into sent items folder, open its property information as step 3. < please send me the screen shot via private message>

  7. Back to Office 365 portal, rerun message tracking, this time, clear the recipient selection, and select the proper sender and time frame.
Can this mail be found? If yes, < please send me the screen shot via private message>

Your understanding and cooperation are really appreciated.

Regards,

George Wu
