Sorry for the late reply, but here's the information you requested:
1) We're currently running Exchange 2010 Version 14.3 (Build 123.4)
2) the link you provided me brought me to an OWA login. However, I dug around until I found the information on how to use the EAC to migrate--but it gave the same exact error as I initially gave.
3) I opened the user's OWA and removed all items in the "Lync Contacts" section. I tried to remove "Lync Contacts" with no luck--and yes, everything but Exchange has been turned off license-wise.
Thanks for looking into this--hopefully we'll get this figured out soon.
