Actually,
you can directly synchronize the contacts list between Outlook and your
SharePoint Online team site. If you are a user of pre-upgrade Office 365
account, you can follow the steps below:
1.
Create a new contacts list in your team site.
2.
Click List Tools> List. Now off to the right you will
have an option to Connect with Outlook
3.
Click the button to connect to your Outlook. After the contacts list is
connected, you will be able to drag and drop from Outlook to the contacts list
On
the other hand, if you are a user after service upgrade, you need to create a
Contacts app first. Enter the team site, and then click the configuration
button in the top right corner, select Add
an app. In the adding an app page, add a Contacts list. After creation, enter the list, and then click LIST> Connect to Outlook. After the connection, you can also sync
contacts between Outlook and the team site.
