RE: CALENDAR SHARING

Hi Sonya,

Based on your descriptions it’s suggested that you go through following procedure:

1. Set up one shared mailbox.

2. Give the 12 users the Full Access permission of the shared mailbox.

After that, all the 12 users will be able to add the shared mailbox calendar to their own calendars and also have the permission to view/edit/create the shared calendar items.

In addition, here are the detailed steps for your reference:

1. Create a shared mailbox:

 a. Sign in to EAC (Exchange admin center) as the administrator outlook.office365.com/ecp

 b. Go to recipients > shared.

 c. Click the adding icon to add one shared mailbox.

2. Give the 12 users the Full Access permission of the shared mailbox

 a. Sign in to EAC.

 b. Navigate to recipients>shared.

 c. Double click the shared mailbox.

 d. In the pop-up window, navigate to mailbox delegation and add the users under Full Access.

3. Add the calendar to users' own calendar:

 a. Sign in to OWA (Outlook Web App) http://mail.office365.com/

 b. Go to Calendar tab and right click My Calendars, then click open calendar.

 c. In the pop-up window, input the shared mailbox under From directory and click Open.

Note: You mentioned “some on the tablets”, I’d like to explain that users with tablets need to view the shared mailbox calendar via browsers instead of just connecting the Office 365 accounts to the tablets.

If anything is unclear, please feel free to let me know.

Thanks,

David

I have just started setting up 365 for my business.  I have 12 staff and I want us to have a shared calender where we can note meeting dates, oncall workers, safety inductions courses etc.  We will all need to add things to this calender.  Some of us will be using 365 webbase, some deployed on the computers and some on the tablets.

What is my best option for this shared calendar?, On the sharepoint team site or do I start it in my outlook and share it?  CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP?

Hi lytieu,

We can use SMTP to send emails from multi-function, fax or applications. However, since development is not the focus of our forum, we have limited resources regarding the ASP code development issue. To ensure you get the professional support on this query, please post a question with the relevant information in the dedicated support community:

https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/home

I found plenty of discussions about it in that support forum and the support engineers and the community members will help you with the issues about using SMTP in classic ASP.

Your understanding is highly appreciated.

Best regards,

Alex

A shared mailbox was created and members added. In Outlook 2013 one of the members cannot see the email folder that was created even though they are shown as a member of the shared folder in Office 365.

Delegate mailbox showing sent items in Outbox

Hi All,

I have a customer who I recently setup on Office 365.  2 accounts, each with delegate and send as permissions enabled for the other account via the O365 Exchange Portal.  Both desktops are running Windows 7, Outlook 2010.

The problem is that on both desktops the delegate mailbox is showing sent items in the Outbox.  On the actual client, the sent items are in the sent items folder and there are no items in the Outbox.

Any ideas on how to get the delegate mailboxes to display correctly?

Thanks in advance.

E-Mail content blank

HI,

We are running Office 365 licenses for a small charity.

I have noticed on a few occasions recently that incoming e-mail content is disappearing. I can read the e-mail on one laptop via Outlook 2013 (locally installed) then go back to look at it later on another device (laptop with Office2013 or Android phone with OWA client) only to find that the message is there but has no content.

If I return to the original device the message content is still there. If I forward it to another e-mail account and then send it back the content returns.

I have had 5 or 6 message behave in this way and at first thought it was a bug in Microsoft's OWA for Android client so I switched to CloudMagic. However, this has now happened across two laptops both running Office Outlook 2013. Once the content has gone it is only viewable on the device first used to view it.

This is getting a bit worrying as we are basing our whole operation on Office 365 and the Exchange server.

I would appreciate a speedy reply.

Thanks

Calendar Repair logs in Exchange Online

Hi,

Is there any way to find detailed information on CRA events in exchange online? We have a user that receives a lot of these:

"Your meeting was found to be out of date and has been automatically updated.

Updated meeting details:

Meeting Recurrence"

I can't see anything strange in the calendar, and I can't find any logs. Get-CalendarDiagnosticLog doesn't really show anything, is there anything else we can look at?

hi, i am working on a small company, which has 50 users.

we're using mdaemon server for quite long time and i don't want to migrate all users to office 365.

i've created some users on office 365, receiving and sending is smooth.

my problem is, i can't send emails to the users who is on mdaemon (but also registered on office 365) through office 365 (outlook web).

USER A (registered on office 365 and mdaemon) sends email (through office 365) to USER B (registered on office 365 and mdaemon) results FAIL --> USER B will only receives the email on office 365.

USER A (registered on office 365 and mdaemon) sends email (through office 365) to USER C (registered only on mdaemon) results SUCCESS

please advice.

Hi customer,

To narrow down the issue, I would like to confirm the following questions:

1.       Are you using the Office 365 Education plan?

2.       Did all of your students can’t receive emails from outside of your office 365 or only part of them?

3.       Could you please provide the domain name of your Office 365 so that we can check the DNS records for you?

4.       In addition, could you please provide us with the Non Delivery Report(NDR) for our further investigation?

To protect your privacy, I will send you a private message, please refer to the following steps to send/reply a private message:

1. Go to the Your details section on the right side of the community site.

2. Click Private messages.

3. Click the subject title of the response to read the message.

4. You can reply by using the form that displayed.

5. Click Submit Reply.

Thanks,

Office 365 organisation accounts not receiving external email

Hello,

I've had a report today that our users (students) are unable to receive emails from outside of our office 365. This means they can email each other, but not receive any other email. I've tested that the accounts are not receiving email from outside from various sources. The internal accounts can email each other successfully and can receive external email.

I initially wondered whether this was a side effect of the work which is going on today, however the health report suggests seems to be unrelated.

Hello,

I have just started to look at Office365 and have now run into my first issue.

I am  using the .onmicrosoft.com email address I setup to send a test email to my regular business address.

My emails appears to bounce with the error message below, this happens from more than one account.

Your message couldn't be delivered because you weren't recognized as a valid sender. Make sure your sending address is set up correctly and try to send the message again. If the problem continues, please contact your helpdesk.

RE: Transient error MrsHttpInternalServerErrorException has occurred

Hi Johnny,

1. Yes the issue occurs when I try to move an on premise (local user) to Office 365.

2. I use EAC single mailbox move. I log onto the Office 365 Admin Portal, I then go to Exchange, and then under Recipients, and Migration. I then create the migration using the Migrate to Office 365 option. I then browse and select the user in question, and then begin the move. I do the move so it suspends before completion, which is what I've always done.

3. So far only this user.

Tried running both commands in Exchange Management Shell, and remote PowerShell connected to Office 365. Neither are pulling results maybe because the job has ultimately failed after 5 hours, due to timeout.

The mailbox will be in use by the end user (connected to Mobile Phones, OWA App for iPhone, and Outlook 2013), but that hasn't stopped mine from moving, or another users from moving. Are there any known groups that could be causing an issue like this? Similar to how the Domain Admins group causes a similar problem.

The end report states "Email migration failed for this user because no email could be downloaded for 5 hours, 0 minutes." The errors in the log are the same as what is in the first post. Nothing got Synced at all.

I'll re-run the migration, and then run the commands you've suggested to see if I get more details.

Transient error MrsHttpInternalServerErrorException has occurred

We're currently running a Hybrid Setup which Consists of the following:

  • 2 Client Access Servers - Exchange 2013 SP1 CU6
  • 2 Mailbox Servers - Exchange 2013 SP1 CU6

I've managed to "onboard" a couple of test users successfully, one of which was a domain admin, which needed the security inheritance work around put in place before I could move that mailbox. That completed the move successfully.

So I started to move another user, who does have a 4-5GB Mailbox and about a 4-5GB Archive. So looking at 10GB in total.

They started to show the same symptoms as the Domain Admin, however Inheritance was already enabled, and they're not a member of the Domain Admins group.

Below is a snippet of the log which showed a regular pattern of "Transient error MrsHttpInternalServerErrorException has occurred. The system will retry (1/60)." and "Relinquishing job because the mailbox is locked. The job will attempt to continue again after"

Accessing emails after license expires?

Hi,

We are a University, with Office 365 for all active students. But when they leave, they will no longer be able to access their Office 365 account, since the license will be removed.

Is there a way for our users to access emails after the license is disabled? For example?

- Download to a pst file and import to another e-mail client?

- Create an IMAP acccount and access the mailbox without OWA?

- Any other ways of doing this?

Thanks!

Regards

Daniel
